My highest break of the final was 98 with Neil's being 82. The final was mainly a very attacking match and that is what I mentioned with my speech at the end of the night - that I believe that's the way snooker should be played and was indicated by a very good attendance from the spectators until the end, of which we played nine frames in exactly three hours, finishing at 10-15pm. The closing stages of the final frame were very similar to my match against Neil in the 2001 City of Melbourne Championship which I won on the final black. In Melbourne Neil needed the last few colours and the black to win, subsequently he missed an easy black. Well at the Central Coast Classic I potted all the colours and I missed an easy black, though I thought I left it pretty safe when to my surprise Neil doubled it to win the tournament. Congratulations Neil, maybe my turn next time.
